Getting Started with Social Media Marketing
Social media. As business owners it’s in our faces everywhere we go. Social lead gen, inbound marketing, content marketing–you name it. Everyone’s on the band wagon saying it’s the “lead gen tool of our time.”
The concept seems simple enough: maintain a Facebook page, post on Twitter, and maybe even post an article on your blog once or twice per month. Yet company after company still struggles with social media because they haven’t made it a part of their company identity, and they don’t understand that social media goes beyond updating their Facebook page and posting on Twitter.
Social media lead generation is not, and never will provide, instant gratification like banner ads or paid search used to. Gone are the days where interruption marketing can turn a small business into a global powerhouse. That’s just not how the world works anymore.
If you want to grow your business and you’d like to be at the forefront of business development for the next 3 to 5 years, you will have to figure out how to integrate social media into your sales process.
Develop Your Social Media Lead Generation Process
In this video, I’m going to walk you through the ins and outs of social media leads, from processes and phases to tools and techniques. My hope is that you will come away from this presentation with the confidence to get started. In this two-part video series, I hope to help you avoid the pitfalls that my company first encountered when we started our first digital marketing campaigns.
Plus, we’re going to do a deep dive on Facebook’s Edge Rank and show you why you could be missing out on engaged users and, more importantly, how to fix it!
For those of you who need a little additional help, we’ve created a Social Media Database:
Inside is a listing of every social media platform and channel available today. Not only is it a detailed listing but we’ve included Alexa Rank and even best use cases for each channel. It’s a must have for any social media marketing team that’s ready to make an impact on their brand this year.
So, let’s get started!
